Global MD, Cisco Entrepreneurs in Residence
Tom Yoritaka is the Global Managing Director of Cisco Entrepreneurs in Residence (Cisco EIR) – the company’s corporate startup development programme aimed at early-stage companies. As the global head of Cisco EIR, he works with startups and scale-ups innovating in the Internet of Everything/Things, AI/Deep Learning/Big Data, Cloud, Enterprise Mobility, Security and Blockchain. Cisco EIR provides startups/scale-ups with opportunities to build strategic relationships with Cisco Business Units and executives, co-working space, software, financial support, and potential strategic investments from Cisco. He was previously the Senior Director and General Manager of Social Solutions and Platforms, building and managing Cisco’s web software products designed to advance social interactions, knowledge management and collaboration for Cisco customers and partners.
Prior to joining Cisco, Tom held various executive and leadership positions at Yahoo! and Microsoft. He also worked as a strategy consultant at The Boston Consulting Group and McKenna Group. He holds a Master’s degree from Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government, an MBA with honors from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and an undergraduate degree in applied mathematics, statistics and economics with honors from Northwestern University.
